Tools for Drones

    Terms of Use

    The rules for using Tools for Drones

    Effective 19 October 2026

    Agreement

    These terms apply when you use toolsfordrones.com and its tools (the “service”). By using the service or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. Questions: feedback@toolsfordrones.com.

    Flight safety is your responsibility

    The service produces mission files, flight plans and calculations to help you prepare flights. It does not fly the aircraft and cannot know about local hazards, airspace or conditions. Before every flight you must:

    • check the mission on your controller, including the route, heights, speeds and the area it covers;
    • make sure the area, including any turns or run-outs, is clear of obstacles, people and property;
    • hold the licences and approvals you need and follow CASA rules or your local aviation authority’s rules;
    • follow your aircraft manufacturer’s guidance.

    Read the Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

    Your account

    Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account, including missions sent to controllers you have linked. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.

    Your content

    You own the files, areas and missions you upload or create. You give us permission to store, process, convert and send them only to provide the service to you, for example to show them on a map or deliver them to your controller. You confirm you have the right to use what you upload.

    Acceptable use

    Don’t use the service to:

    • plan flights that are unlawful, or that are meant to harm or unlawfully surveil people;
    • upload malicious files or anything you don’t have the right to share;
    • disrupt, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or get around its limits or security;
    • access other people’s accounts or data.

    We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

    The service

    The service is provided “as is” and may change, have downtime, or include features marked as beta. We may add, change or remove tools. Paid features, if offered, will have their price and terms shown before you pay. Tools for Drones isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by DJI. DJI, Pilot 2 and FlightHub are DJI’s trademarks.

    Liability

    Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows:

    • we give no warranty that the service or its outputs are accurate, complete or fit for a particular flight;
    • we are not liable for loss or damage arising from a flight, including damage to aircraft, property or people, or for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profits;
    • where our liability can’t be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

    Ending your use

    You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account in Settings. If we decide to stop offering the service, we’ll give signed-in users reasonable notice and a chance to download their files.

    Changes and governing law

    We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and tell signed-in users in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

    How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
